Dog Lovers World’s (Coordinator)
Facilitates communication volunteer ⇄ shelter and coordinates the process.
No direct custody of the dog and no medical responsibility.
Receives a coordination fee from the shelter.
Volunteer
Agrees on duration and rules with the shelter.
Pays the shelter the total indicated amount (tracked payment).
Financial & legal transparency
No under-the-table payments: clear paperwork, tracked payments, distinct roles.
Payment flow
Volunteer/Rescue → Shelter: Upfront payment for the foster boarding period. Shelter issues invoice/receipt.
Shelter → DLW: recognition of the agreed coordination fee (DLW invoices the shelter).
Payment methods: bank transfer/Stripe/PayPal. No cash. Processing fees disclosed in the estimate.

Legal, tax & operations – FAQ
Is DLW responsible for dogs in foster boarding?
No. DLW acts as a coordinator between volunteer and shelter. Custody and operational responsibility lie with the shelter.
Who issues the invoice/receipt?
The shelter issues the invoice/receipt to the volunteer for the single payment. DLW does not invoice the volunteer: DLW invoices the shelter for the coordination fee.
Is this a regular boarding service?
No. It’s a temporary foster boarding aiming at care and socialization towards adoption. Shelter rules apply.
How do you handle privacy and media?
With a dedicated privacy notice and media release: updates (photos/videos) are shared on agreed channels, respecting privacy.

Foster Terms of Service (draft)
Roles. DLW acts solely as coordinator between Volunteer and Shelter. DLW does not assume physical custody nor medical responsibility.
Agreements. (i) DLW–Shelter framework; (ii) Volunteer–Shelter Foster Boarding Agreement.
Compensation & invoices. The Volunteer pays the Shelter (single payment). The Shelter recognizes DLW’s coordination fee (DLW invoices the Shelter).
Liability. DLW is not liable for events occurring while the dog is in Shelter custody; any claims about the foster period shall be addressed to the Shelter.
Privacy. DLW and the Shelter process data in compliance with applicable laws, each as an independent controller for their purposes.

Privacy Notice (summary)
Controllers. DLW S.R.L. Impresa Sociale and the Shelter are independent controllers for their respective activities.
Data. Volunteer identifiers, contacts, essential dog data, and foster documentation.
Purpose. Handling foster requests, contractual and legal obligations, operational updates.
Legal basis. Contract performance and legal obligations.
Retention. For the foster period and for statutory retention duties.
Rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, complaint to the supervisory authority.
